If you are learning Chinese but would just really like speaking practice, this is the course for you. I will not be actively teaching characters or writing, but I am happy to clarify tones you may be struggling with. I would like sessions to be supplementary to 'textbook learning' since languages are best learned through practice, practice, practice! Let me know your degree of mastery, and I will adjust conversations to an appropriate level.
I grew up speaking Mandarin in my household, learning mostly from my parents with the help of a couple of teachers. I am not the most fluent writer/reader, but I am conversationally fluent enough to help you practice speaking Chinese in a casual setting. I have visited/lived in China for extended periods at a time and have worked with Chinese high school students in educational consulting.
